In honor of National Mineral Day (August 4th) and International Youth Day (August 12th) we are running a special ‘Sluice Sunday’ for you, your kids, or grandkid’s! Katy Rock Shop has a curated, Earth Science 🌍 focused Gem Mining 💎 ⛏️ activity that occurs once a month. August 10th is our next event! WHEN: Sunday August 10th. Anytime 12-4! WHERE: 821 Avenue C Katy Tx 77493 HOW MUCH: $10-$15 The mining ore bags come from Different regions around the world and we have different themed mining ore bag, where each comes with a clue card to identify the gems your kiddos mine. They keep everything they find and learn mineral identification at the same time! Arrive anytime between 12-4 to enjoy our “Sluice Sunday” family event! For international Youth Day ONLY, each mining ore bag you buy, earns you a ticket 🎟️ and a chance to win $50 dollars in educational items or toys at the Katy Rock Shop for your little one ❤️! The winner is announced at the end of the day. Come and enjoy the shade of our hundred year old oak tree and spend time with family in nature, learning about nature 💕
